2017 Ford F-150: Productivity Screen

Featured in the all-new 2017 F-150, the Ford Productivity Screen was built specifically for truck drivers.

Statistical and performance data is now viewed instantaneously, with the touch of a button. The 8-inch LCD screen gives drivers the information they need the second they need it. Instead of having to toggle through confusing menus and phone apps–12 to 18 inches away from your normal sight line–Ford’s built everything directly in the dashboard.

The speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, trip computer, fuel economy, and towing apps are all featured on the screen, while the information from each is displayed with easy-to-read computer generated graphics directly in the instrument cluster.

The electronic display is arguably the most visually important aspect of your vehicle’s interior. Other than the road (let’s hope), it’s where your eyes are looking the most. While some auto manufacturers ignore the importance of the electronic display, Ford’s put a lot of time and thought into their design.

2017 Ford Productivity Screen – Best Feature

By far the best part of the Ford Productivity Screen is the MyView option.

It lets you customize the screen however you like. If you’re always tracking how many kilometers you’re getting to a tank, keep the fuel efficiency tab displayed. If you like to keep regular tabs on your haul load, have your trailer’s information pulled up at all times.

Owners can also organize the layout of their screens to their personal preference, too. Towing data, tire pressure and other vehicle specs are readily available to you. You can organize the order of the information, and set color preferences.

Why Truck Owners Love the Productivity Screen

Anyone who’s towed a trailer knows how important it is to be in total control. If you’re not, and the trailer breaks away, someone could get seriously hurt. Having the information you need as soon as you need it goes a long way towards ensuring everyone gets to their destination safe and sound.

The 8-inch LCD Ford Productivity Screen is available in the all-new 2017 Ford F150.
